Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Bartender to mix high-quality beverages and provide prompt service on the vessel, while staying hospitable to guests and coworkers. You will follow recipes, know beverage offerings and prices, and operate a POS system with accuracy.

The role requires at least one year of bartending experience, a high school diploma, and strong customer service skills. Availability for nights, weekends, and major holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of bartending experience required.
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of beverage recipes.
• Strong customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Maintain organization and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality to guests and coworkers as prescribed in Our RESPECT Service System.
• Follow recipes for all beverages; thorough knowledge of offerings and prices.
• Provide prompt and consistent bar service to guests and servers throughout the cruise.
• Set up and break down bar; stock according to par specifications; clean bar per SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of bar, equipment, and service areas.
• Charge guests for onboard purchases; process payments via POS system; handle cash.
• Provide information on beverages, menus, entertainment, routes, and points of interest.
• Additional duties as assigned.
