Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Cruise & Excursions Director to lead onboard entertainment, enrichment, and shore excursions. You will engage guests with programs, presentations, and coordination with vendors while representing the brand across city destinations.

The role requires high guest interaction, long hours, and a dynamic, service-oriented leader who can manage complex itineraries and coordinate transport, tours, and shore activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Enthusiasm, confidence, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Strong social skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills; strong production and presentation sense.
• Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Geography preferred.
• TWIC credential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and execute engaging entertainment, enrichment and activity programs that enhance the guest experience.
• Communicate effectively to guests via daily program, PA system, and personal interaction.
• Oversee shore excursions, vendor communications, and inventory management.
• Greet guests and accompany them on daily excursions as brand ambassadors.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors and operators for timely service.
• Meet with guest speakers and instructors to review scheduling.
• Promote onboard sales and loyalty programs.
• Report status to Home Office and manage guest issues.
