Job summary

RWS Global is seeking an A/V Manager/Technician - Lighting & Video to oversee all onboard audio-visual systems across entertainment venues on Azamara ships. You will report to the Cruise Director and manage the A/V Operator, ensuring safe operations, programming, and maintenance of lighting and video for performances and events.

You will program GrandMA3 lighting, operate shipboard media servers, coordinate rehearsals, and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure smooth show execution.

Responsibilities

• Professional Standards & Conduct: Conduct oneself professionally and courteously with guests and crew.
• Leadership & Team Management: Direct, coach, supervise, and evaluate the A/V Operator; lead weekly team meetings.
• Scheduling & Production Planning: Schedule rehearsals, trainings, and performances; maintain weekly maintenance for props/sets.
• Show & Event Operations: Set up events shipwide; run and store A/V equipment; coordinate pre/post-show duties.
• Technical Oversight & Troubleshooting: Serve as primary A/V troubleshooter; oversee equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Lighting Design & Programming: Program and operate GrandMA3 lighting; adjust cues for events.
• Cross-Discipline Technical Support: Assist with audio playback, spotlight, and deck crew duties.
• Video, Media, and Special Effects Systems: Operate media servers; troubleshoot LED walls and projectors.
• Equipment, Inventory & Documentation: Maintain inventory; document failures and repairs; handover notes.
• Equipment Maintenance, Safety & Reporting: Inspect and maintain lighting/video equipment; assist with maintenance.
• Communication & Liaison Responsibilities: Liaise with Shoreside Entertainment management and onboard production; attend required trainings.
