Job summary

City of Doral is seeking a Floodplain Manager/CRS Coordinator to oversee NFIP programs, coordinate CRS activities, and perform field verifications of Floodplain Elevation Certificates. The role includes managing certificates, maps, and public guidance.

Required are a CFM, HS diploma, 3 years in construction/floodplain/engineering, and a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with city benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent.
• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certificate is required.
• Three (3) years experience in construction, floodplain management, or engineering field.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CRS and NFIP activities and manage elevation certificate records.
• Perform site inspections to verify floodplain compliance for structures.
• Coordinate FEMA map revisions and maintain flood zone maps.
• Provide technical assistance on flood zones, drainage studies, and related requirements.
• Collaborate with State NFIP Coordinator to ensure FEMA compliance.
