Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School Diploma, or GED Equivalent.
• CFM certificate is required for the role.
• Three years of experience in construction, floodplain management, or engineering.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs Floodplain Manager and CRS coordination for NFIP.
• Conducts site visits and inspections for floodplain compliance.
• Coordinates FEMA NFIP/CRS activities and submits required forms.
• Maintains elevation certificate records per NFIP/CRS requirements.
• Keeps flood zone maps and FEMA map revision database.
• Provides technical assistance on flood zones and drainage studies.
• Assists with coordination with State NFIP Coordinator for FEMA compliance.
• Responds to public questions and flood-related complaints.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Building Director.
• Performs related duties as needed.
