Washington City is seeking a Crossing Guard to manage pedestrian safety at school crosswalks. You will slow or stop traffic, assist students as they cross, and set up cones and signals according to established procedures.
This daytime role requires good judgment, basic first aid, and clear communication with students, parents and police. You will maintain equipment, report issues, and perform related duties as needed.
Crossing Guard
Wage: $21.00 Hourly
Performs routine traffic control duties at crosswalks and follows established traffic control procedures to assure the safety of students and pedestrians crossing roadways
Works under close supervision of the Police Chief

A. Sufficient education to demonstrate an aptitude or ability to perform above duties; above and related duties; and
B. Sufficient experience to demonstrate a working knowledge of practices and procedures associated with above duties;
Some knowledge of local traffic laws; basic traffic safety; basic first aid; basic interpersonal communication skills; the operation of traffic signalization equipment and semaphores
Work Environment:
As per Washington City policy and/or procedures, a background check, and drug screening evaluation will be required for potential new hire candidates prior to an offer of employment.
