Job summary

Broken Arrow Public Schools is seeking a Crossing Guard to help ensure the safe crossing of students at designated crosswalks before and after school. This part-time 4-hour-per-day, 10-month contract requires clear communication with students and adults and outdoor work in varying weather.

You will monitor traffic, escort students across streets, and maintain a visible, professional presence at crossing locations. Training provided; high school diploma preferred; no prior experience required.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-Time 4 hours per day, 10- month Contract

SUMMARY: Provides for the safe crossing of students and pedestrians at designated crosswalks before and after school. Ensures traffic safety and promotes a secure environment for students traveling to and from school.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Ensure crosswalks are safe and clear prior to escorting students across the roadway.

ATTENDANCE STATEMENT: Able to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% attendance.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Primarily outside working conditions with exposure to extreme environmental conditions. Must be able to work in all types of weather.
