Job summary

Un service de sécurité recherche un Crossing Guard à temps plein pour surveiller les traversées scolaires en toute sécurité. Le candidat doit être âgé d'au moins 18 ans, avoir une bonne capacité à interagir avec le public et posséder des compétences en situation d'urgence. Sous la supervision du Field Supervisor, il maintiendra un environnement sûr pour les enfants tout en respectant les normes de sécurité et en fournissant un excellent service à la clientèle.

Qualifications

• Âge minimum: 18 ans.
• Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante avec peu de supervision.
• Connaissance de la géographie communautaire et des lieux clés.

Responsibilities

• Diriger les enfants aux intersections pour assurer une traversée sûre.
• Enregistrer les numéros de plaque des véhicules qui ignorent les signaux de circulation.

Job Description

Maintain control of children and vehicular traffic at crossing sites to ensure children cross safely at designated locations.

Scope of Duties:

1. Direct children at street intersections to ensure safe crossing.
2. Record license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals and report infractions to the police.
3. Observe vehicles and pedestrians near school crosswalks to report suspicious activity.
4. Notify authorities of uncooperative or abusive children.
5. Maintain regular and predictable attendance (aim for 2 excused absences per year).
6. Follow all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
7. Report unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
8. Provide excellent customer service to promote a positive community image.

Supervision

Reports to the Field Supervisor; exercises no supervision.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
2. Knowledge of community geography and key locations.
3. Ability to analyze situations and report clearly.
4. React calmly and quickly in emergencies.
5. Good intelligence and emotional stability.
6. Tactful interaction with the public, especially children.
7. Minimum age: 18 years.
8. Physical ability to perform duties in all weather conditions.
9. Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking.
10. Attend mandatory School Crossing Guard training.

Stop paddle, reflective vest, whistle, optional equipment includes cell phone, rain gear, gloves, reflective cap, first aid kit, winter gear, and traffic cones.
