Job summary

A utility services company in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Crossbore Technician to assist with advanced CCTV operations to protect underground utilities. This entry-level role requires outdoor work and the ability to lift 75 pounds. Successful candidates will have a commitment to safety and teamwork. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, with expected travel. Competitive pay of $20-$30 per hour, benefits include medical insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk on varied terrain and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to possess or obtain Confined Space Training certifications is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Detect cross-bored wastewater lines and collect field data.
• Establish a safe work zone.
• Prepare the CCTV Robot and equipment for operation.
• Securely dispatch tractor units into pipes.
• Mark locations on job sites.

Skills

Ability to pass a thorough background check

Ability to work in various weather conditions

Lift/carry up to 75 pounds

Willingness to travel 2 to 3 weeks
