Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Corning, NY facility. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and repairs, following a flow-to-work approach and strong communication with site leads.

Responsibilities include PM activities, repairs to pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic devices, building repairs, lighting, and dock equipment, with cross-training and a proactive ownership mindset.

Qualifications

• Two to five years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and maintenance memos; ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on facility equipment following written instructions; replaces expendables and evaluates operating characteristics.
• Documents PM activities and completed work orders in CMMS; performs repairs on pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic devices.
• Conducts general building repairs such as painting, doors, floors; repairs plumbing systems and lighting/distribution systems.
• Repairs and maintains lighting, electrical panels and energy management-controlled components.
• Performs rounds to document performance characteristics of facility systems and coordinates with site lead for parts and scheduling.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment and replaces damaged wires and cables; maintains dock equipment like overhead doors and dock levelers.
