Base pay range

$72,400.00/yr - $126,800.00/yr

General Summary

Under limited supervision by the Location General Manager (LGM), the manager is responsible for leading and developing a team of 10-15 cross functional associates to deliver a world-class selling experience to CarMax customers. The role involves active involvement in the sales process, fostering a culture of learning, and overseeing store operations to exceed sales goals and ensure policy compliance.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieve store budgets and performance metrics based on corporate guidelines.
  • Plan daily business operations, ensuring associates have the necessary tools and training.
  • Analyze and report store results to the LGM and other managers.
  • Adjust staffing based on business needs.
  • Manage store opening and closing, providing management coverage.
  • Oversee key business areas, lead cross-functional teams, and resolve issues.
  • Manage associate relations, development, and performance reviews.
  • Handle customer issues and feedback.
  • Hire, train, and promote staff.
  • Lead training across sales, service, and operational areas.
  • Ensure asset protection and risk management adherence.
  • Manage cash and payment processes.
  • Identify process improvements and reduce waste.
  • Comply with all policies and regulations.
  • Report to the LGM and display financial responsibility through P&L management.
  • Utilize CarMax software and media effectively.
