Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Development Engineer for the Cross Domain Services team in Seattle, WA. You will operate and scale complex cross-domain systems, improve availability, and drive automation across regions with different security requirements.

This role requires strong Linux, networking, and cloud skills, a passion for operational excellence, and the ability to work with developers to push automation and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years designing or architecting distributed systems (design patterns, reliability, scaling).
• 4+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Experience in Linux and Networking protocols; programming/scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java, etc.).
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Shape the development of infrastructure foundational services and write tools to improve deployment automation.
• Build and maintain test fleets, perform functional/regression testing, and monitor production software.
• Dive deep into issues and reinvent systems and processes to drive continuous improvement for customers.
