Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented software development engineer to design and build customer facing cross-domain cloud services. The role involves inventing new data transfer capabilities for customers moving data between AWS regions and accounts with varying security requirements, including obtaining a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

The team emphasizes mentorship, code reviews, and career growth while delivering robust cloud services and data transfer solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 4+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• 4+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
• Experience building or optimizing UDP-based data transport systems for high‑throughput, low‑latency workloads, with understanding of packet loss mitigation strategies
• Experience building data transfer or routing systems that prioritize resiliency, reliability, and availability in environments where intermediary infrastructure may be capacity‑constrained or subject to outages
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Responsibilities
