Job summary

KBR seeks an experienced Cyber & Cross Domain Solution (CDS) Systems Engineer to support the MSEIT contract at Space Systems Command. You will define and evaluate secure data movement and cyber strategies across IL5/IL6, air-gapped systems, and the Mission Partner Environment (MPE).

Role involves CDS architecture, data diodes, cloud-native security, and CI/CD practices, with collaboration across software, infra, DevSecOps, and gov teams to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret clearance required or ability to obtain
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, math, physics, information systems or related field
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, CDS, secure system integration, or mission assurance in DoD
• Strong CDS understanding and secure data movement architectures
• Experience across multiple classified and mission networks incl. IL5/IL6/MPE
• Experience in cyber activities within modern software delivery/DevSecOps
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, CVE remediation and vulnerability workflows
• Experience in cyber strategy, mission assurance, or system protection

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, define, and support CDS implementation for mission data flows
• Assess CDS technologies including data diodes and cloud-native security
• Coordinate data movement across IL5/IL6, air-gapped and MPE environments
• Identify opportunities to leverage existing enterprise services while defining new CDS capabilities
• Work with software, infra, DevSecOps, and ops teams to align cybersecurity with mission goals
• Improve CI/CD vulnerability remediation processes and secure software delivery
• Contribute to cyber strategy, security roadmaps, and mission assurance programs
• Support program protection planning and risk assessments
• Interface with cyber orgs, stakeholders, software and gov leaders to ensure alignment
