Job summary

Focus in Eastvale, CA is seeking a Cross Dock Operations Manager to oversee a high-volume cross-dock facility, driving efficient product flow, inventory accuracy, and trailer utilization while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will lead a team, coordinate with a 4th party labor provider, manage outbound loads up to 35 daily, and ensure inbound processing within 24 hours, compliant with OSHA and DOT SOPs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cross dock, warehouse, or logistics management (3-5 years preferred).
• Strong understanding of freight handling, trailer loading, and material flow processes (preferably furniture).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficient in logistics software, WMS/TMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• FIFO Management: Ensure First-In, First-Out processes are followed, prioritizing movement of the oldest freight first.
• Trailer Space Optimization: Oversee high-quality loading practices to maximize trailer utilization and minimize damage.
• Logistics Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between the cross dock and our 4th party labor provider to maintain seamless communication and service execution.
• Outbound Operations: Manage up to 35 outbound loads per day, ensuring on-time departures and accurate documentation.
• Inbound Processing: Process all inbound freight within 24 hours in accordance with established inbound SOPs, ensuring product is accurately placed into designated lanes or directly loaded into outbound trailers.
• Staff Leadership: Direct, train, and support warehouse staff to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Problem Resolution: Quickly address and resolve operational issues to maintain workflow continuity internally and external providers.
• Dispatch Coordination: Maintain working knowledge of local and outbound dispatch operations to support efficient scheduling and load planning.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, DOT standards, and operational SOPs.
