Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. seeks Crop Technician Interns to perform crop diagnostic tasks throughout the growing season, including scouting fields, tissue and soil sampling, UAV flights, and aiding field decisions.

You will work outdoors and travel across the territory, supporting data collection and agronomy applications with the Ag Tech team. Ideal candidates are Agronomy students or those with a genuine interest in agricultural sciences, possessing a valid driver's license and reliable

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a college/university.
• Agronomy students preferred; others considered.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Scouting: create scouting reports on weeds, insects, diseases, growth stages, stand counts, and field anomalies.
• UAV Flights: use drones to observe fields, produce imagery, and collect data.
• Tissue Sampling: collect corn or soybean tissue and prepare for testing.
• Soil Moisture Probing: perform soil moisture tests and report data to the Ag Tech team.
• Soil Sampling: collect soil nitrate samples to monitor nutrient availability.
• Field Signs: place, organize, and remove field signs.
• 100% travel within the territory; 75% in fields, 25% in training/tours/events.
