Job summary

Evergreen FS is seeking a McLean County Crop Specialist to join our Bloomington, IL team. The role focuses on selling crop nutrients, protection, seed, scouting, and related services while developing profitable sales within the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in agriculture/marketing/business with 3+ years in production agriculture and the ability to travel daily, with occasional overnights. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree in agriculture, marketing, or business or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related sales/production agriculture experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain driver's license and driving record.
• Willingness to travel daily within the trade area with occasional overnights.
• Ability to obtain agronomy certifications (CCA/CCS/CPAg/Commercial Applicator).

Responsibilities

• Sell and market crop nutrients, crop protection, seed, scouting, Climate FieldView, technology services, and ag-finance.
• Develop and implement marketing plans and sales strategies to generate profitable sales.
• Travel within the territory to establish Evergreen FS brand and secure orders.
• Follow FS sales interview road map and contact management system during calls.
• Meet sales goals as established by supervisor and analyze market competition.
• Provide agronomic recommendations and coordinate product delivery and application.
• Schedule product delivery and conduct patron meetings to build relationships and drive sales.
• Maintain customer service through soil testing and crop scouting programs, resolving issues as needed.
