Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection invites you to join our Crop Protection Field Development internship in Visalia, CA. You will work with experienced R&D scientists on meaningful projects, gaining hands-on field, greenhouse, and laboratory experience while building technical and leadership skills.

As part of the Emerging Talent Program, you'll shadow projects, participate in cross-functional activities, and deliver a final project summary to stakeholders, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Associate/Bachelor or higher in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, or related field.
• Graduation date December 2027 or later.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to work outdoors and outside normal working hours.
• Experience with basic farm equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build knowledge of Syngenta, crop protection, and product development processes.
• Support field development trialing activities (planting, treatments, maintenance, data capture).
• Collaborate with local Syngenta commercial teams (Sales, Agronomy Services).
• Learn processes used to develop products and technologies.
• Work independently and in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Deliver final internship project summary presentation to stakeholders.
