Syngenta Crop Protection in Lansing, MI invites a Crop Protection Field Development Intern to join our Emerging Talent Program. You will work alongside experienced R&D scientists on meaningful projects across field, greenhouse, and laboratory environments, gaining hands-on experience and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an Associate's, Bachelor's, or advanced degree program in Agriculture, Biological Sciences, or another closely related field of study.
• Continued enrollment in an academic program after the internship concludes (graduation date of December 2027 or later).
• A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors and outside normal working hours.
• Proficiency in operating basic farm equipment is beneficial but not required.
• Salary for this position ranges between $20 - $45 hourly.

Responsabilités

• Build knowledge of Syngenta, crop protection, and the product development process.
• Develop an understanding of Crop Protection Field Development’s role in research and development.
• Support Crop Protection Field Development trialing activities, such as planting, treatment application, maintenance, in-field data capture, data summarization, and hosting field tours.
• Develop an understanding of Crop Protection Field Development’s collaboration with local Syngenta commercial teams (e.g., Sales, Agronomy Services).
• Learn processes and skills utilized to develop products and technologies.
• Learn how to work independently, without direct supervision, and in compliance with Syngenta safety guidelines.
• Identify two to three personal development goals and actively pursue them throughout the internship.
• Manage an internship project under the guidance of Crop Protection Field Development Scientist(s).
• Deliver a final summary presentation of the internship project/experience to stakeholders.
• Participate in performance discussions with a supervisor to support continuous learning, growth, and professional development.
