Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA-ready anesthesia provider to support diverse surgical and diagnostic procedures. You will work under an anesthesiologist’s direction, including cardio-thoracic cases and cardiac catheterizations, and participate in clinical instruction for nurse anesthesia students.

The role requires graduates from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and current AL APRN-CRNA certification, with ACLS, BLS, and PALS in good standing.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Certification as Advanced Practice Nurse with CRNA specialization by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Work experience may NOT substitute for the required education.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostics.
• Manage cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations as part of the anesthesia team.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

Education
