Job summary

Penn State Health in Lancaster, PA is seeking a part-time nurse anesthetist (CRNA) to administer anesthesia, monitor patients’ vitals, and oversee recovery. You will work with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and dentists in a collaborative team.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing or CRNA education prior to DNAP, NBCRNA certification, an active RN license in PA, and BLS. This is a 0.5 FTE daytime role with 8-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or CRNA education completed before DNAP adoption.
• NBCRNA certification and current RN licensure to practice in PA.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and monitor patient vitals during anesthesia care.
• Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia and assist surgical teams.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and dentists as needed.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Administer anesthesia, monitor patient's vital signs, and oversee patient recovery from anesthesia. May assist anesthesiologists, surgeons, other physicians, or dentists. Must be registered nurses who have specialized graduate education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or have completed CRNA education prior to the adoption of the DNAP standard and hold the appropriate degree required at the time of their certification.
• NBCRNA certification
• Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
