Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic cases. The role also involves participation in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

This part-time position offers a pay range of $101,750 to $136,942 per year, with the schedule rotating: 6 a.m.–7 p.m., weekends alternating every other weekend, starting with Weekend 1: Saturday and Sunday.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• APN with CRNA specialty certification required by Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
