Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to support surgical operations in Iraq. You will consult with the surgical team and provide comprehensive anesthesia care from preop through recovery, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.

The role requires US CRNA licensure, NBCRNA certification, BLS/ACLS, and stealth clinical experience in austere or military environments. This is a full-time assignment with on-site work in Iraq.

Qualifications

• Current, full, active CRNA license in US/DC.
• BE/BC by NBCRNA.
• BLS and ACLS.
• ATLS preferred.
• 3+ years’ CRNA experience, with 18 months in last year.
• EMR proficiency; MS Office.
• Experience on a military site as subcontractor or prime preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive preoperative evaluations and determine anesthesia risks.
• Review labs and imaging to plan anesthesia.
• Create and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
• Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia.
• Monitor vital signs and anesthesia depth during procedures.
• Manage airway and respiratory support as needed.
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care and monitor recovery.
• Address postoperative complications related to anesthesia.
• Collaborate with surgeons and team to optimize outcomes.
• Complete required compliance education for Joint Commission or client.
