Job summary

International SOS is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide comprehensive anesthesia care in Iraq. The role requires an active US CRNA license, NBCRNA board certification, and 3+ years of CRNA experience including recent practice.

You will collaborate with surgeons and the anesthesia team to ensure patient safety and effective perioperative management. The position entails on-site responsibilities in a challenging environment, with adherence to Joint Commission

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
• 3+ years' CRNA experience, including 18 months within the last year.
• US citizen or permanent resident with ability to obtain US government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations to assess patient medical history, physical condition, and anesthesia risks.
• Review laboratory results, imaging studies, and other diagnostic information to determine appropriate anesthesia plans.
• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
• Administer various forms of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia.
• Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia depth during procedures.
• Manage airway and respiratory support as necessary throughout the surgical process.
• Provide care in the post-anesthesia recovery unit, monitoring patients’ recovery.
• Assess and manage any immediate postoperative complications or side effects related to anesthesia.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
