Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required from an approved and accredited educational program in specific area of advanced practice.
• Masters degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) preferred.
• Requires current unencumbered licensure to practice as a CRNA from the State Board of Nursing and/or multi-state licensure.
• CRNA certification required and maintained through NBCRNA.
• Obtains and maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia or sedation to patients undergoing a variety of surgical and non‑surgical procedures.
• Develops and conducts pre‑anesthetic plan for the patient and writes orders before, during, and after procedures.
• Works with and collaborates with providers caring for the patient and communicates with patients and families.
• Evaluates and orders diagnostic tests as needed.
• Monitors patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, and adjusts the anesthesia plan as appropriate.
