Job summary

UAB Medicine, Alabama’s largest health system, is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program and current APN with CRNA specialty, plus ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program is required.
• Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with CRNA Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures and cardiac catheterizations.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
