CP11 Carilion Professional Services LLC is seeking a CRNA in Lexington, Virginia, to plan and administer anesthesia care for patients. Responsibilities include developing anesthesia plans, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare personnel.

The ideal candidate will hold current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner - Nurse Anesthetist in Virginia and have the necessary certifications. The position offers comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, along with a pension plan and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Graduate of a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA) accredited school of nurse anesthesia education.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner – Nurse Anesthetist in Virginia.
• Current certification or recertification as an active nurse anesthetist granted by NBCRNA.
• Maintain current AHA approved BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer anesthesia and related care to patients upon request by patient’s physician to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical or obstetrical procedures, according to standards and principles of anesthesiology.
• Develop plan of anesthesia care for patients of all ages in coordination with an anesthesiologist or patient’s physician.
• Implement and adjust the anesthetic plan for patients to adapt to their response.
• Document response to the anesthetic in a complete and accurate manner.
• Ensure the safety of patients while undergoing the anesthetic care and during transfer of care to other qualified health care providers.
• Collaborate with and direct other health care personnel as related to administration of anesthesia care.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Graduate of a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA) accredited school of nurse anesthesia education.

Experience

Licensure, Certification, and Registration

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner – Nurse Anesthetist in the State of Virginia.
• Current certification or recertification as an active, practicing nurse anesthetist granted by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
