CP11 Carilion Professional Services LLC is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Galax, Virginia. The CRNA will plan and administer anesthesia care for patients of all ages, coordinating with physicians and ensuring patient safety during procedures.

Candidates must be graduates of accredited nursing and nurse anesthesia programs with relevant certifications, including RN licensure in Virginia. The position offers comprehensive medical benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for continued education.

Qualifications

• Current RN and Nurse Practitioner-Nurse Anesthetist licensure in Virginia.
• Current certification from NBCRNA as a practicing nurse anesthetist.

Responsibilities

The certified registered nurse anesthetist plans and administers anesthesia and related care to patients upon request by the patient’s physician to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical, or obstetrical procedures, according to the standards and principles of anesthesiology. The role includes developing a plan of anesthesia care for patients of all ages in coordination with an anesthesiologist or the patient’s physician, implementing and adjusting the anesthetic plan based on patient response, documenting the anesthetic response accurately, assuring patient safety during anesthetic care and during transfer of care to other qualified health care providers, and collaborating with and directing other health care personnel as related to anesthesia administration.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Graduate of a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA) accredited school of nurse anesthesia education.

Experience: None

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner‑Nurse Anesthetist in the State of Virginia. Current certification or recertification as an active, practicing nurse anesthetist as granted by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Maintain current American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
