Job summary

CP11 Carilion Professional Services LLC is seeking a dedicated CRNA to join our team in Galax, Virginia. This full-time position involves planning and administering anesthesia care to patients, ensuring safety during procedures, and collaborating with healthcare personnel.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program and a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs school. Current Virginia RN and Nurse Anesthetist licenses are required along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner-Nurse Anesthetist in Virginia.
• Current certification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Current AHA approved BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer anesthesia and related care to patients upon request by physician to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical or obstetric procedures, according to the standards and principles of anesthesiology.
• Develop a plan of anesthesia care for patients of all ages in coordination with an anesthesiologist or the physician.
• Implement and adjust the anesthetic plan to adapt to the patient’s response.
• Document response to the anesthetic in a complete and accurate manner.
• Assure the safety of patients while undergoing anesthetic care and when transferring care to other qualified health‑care providers.
• Collaborate with and direct other health‑care personnel related to the administration of anesthesia care.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and a Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA) accredited school of nurse anesthesia education.
• Experience: None specified.
• Certification & Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner‑Nurse Anesthetist in the State of Virginia; current certification or recertification as an active, practicing nurse anesthetist by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA); current American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
