Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthetic care in the surgical setting. You will assess, plan, and document anesthesia care for all patients, and continuously monitor responses during procedures.

You will collaborate with the attending physician on plans of care, participate in quality improvement, and uphold HIPAA and professional standards while mentoring staff and ensuring safety across the care team.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, evaluates, and implements the anesthetic management for all patients presenting for anesthesia care. Provides accurate medical record documentation.
• Provides continuous observation of patients under anesthetic care and corrects abnormal patient responses. Involves attending physician regarding plan of care.
• Participates, develops, and implements performance and/or quality improvement initiatives.
• Adheres to the legal and ethical standards of nursing and of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Follows appropriate safety standards and ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Acts as a clinical resource to interdisciplinary health care team. May serve as a mentor to new staff or students.
