Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a qualified CRNA to provide comprehensive anesthesia services in collaboration with the surgical team. You will manage induction, maintenance, and emergence, and deliver post‑operative analgesia while ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

The role requires an active RN and APRN license with NBCRNA certification, plus DEA registration and site-specific ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.

Qualifications

• Active RN and APRN license in state(s) of practice, and NBCRNA certification.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by site/practice.
• Illinois practice: active Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide all elements of pre‑anesthesia, anesthesia and post‑anesthesia services per anesthesia plan and in collaboration with the surgeon/anesthesiologist/surgical team.
• Ensure readiness of equipment, supplies and medications to perform the planned anesthetic.
• Deliver anesthesia care including induction, maintenance, support of life functions, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Administer post‑anesthesia analgesia and conduct post‑anesthetic visits.
• Manage emergencies with advanced airway management and ACLS/PALS/NRP as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure compliant coding and billing.
• Participate in quality, safety and peer-review activities; assist in education and onboarding of staff and students.
