Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide comprehensive anesthesia services across general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care in collaboration with the surgical team.

You will lead preoperative evaluation, ensure equipment readiness, administer anesthetics, monitor through all phases, and participate in post-anesthesia care with safe transfers and pain management.

Qualifications

• Active RN and APRN license in state(s) of practice.
• NBCRNA CRNA certification.
• DEA registration prior to hire.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by site prior to or within 6 months of hire.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
• Manage anesthesia plan with surgeon/anesthesiologist team; assess risks/benefits.
• Conduct preoperative evaluation and obtain informed consent.
• Ensure readiness of equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Deliver anesthesia and monitor during induction, maintenance, and emergence.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and safe transfer; assist with post-op analgesia.
• Manage emergencies with airway management and ACLS.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and compliant coding/billing.
