Job summary

Avera St Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD seeks a Certified Nurse Anesthetist or experienced RN to deliver anesthesia care on the day shift. Qualifications

• Active CRNA or RN license in the state of practice (Upon Hire).
• NBCRNA certification upon hire.
• Ability to work day shift and meet schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs a pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determines a plan of care and communicates it to patient and family.
• Establishes and maintains venous access.
• Maintains airway and monitors anesthesia.
• Inducts and maintains anesthesia and monitors patient.
• Completes anesthesia and emergence from anesthesia.
• Transfers care to appropriate staff after procedure.
• Performs post-operative follow-up for each case.
• Instructs anesthesia students as a clinical instructor.
