Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a qualified Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist for a wide range of surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases. You will also participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students, contributing to education and patient safety.

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program is required, with CRNA certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• CRNA with Alabama Board of Nursing specialty certification.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical and diagnostic procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
