Job summary

UAB Medicine’s Division of Community Anesthesia seeks a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services across multiple surgical settings in the Birmingham area. This role emphasizes autonomy and collaboration with anesthesiologists and surgeons.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and holds current CRNA certification with ACLS/BLS/PALS. There is an opportunity for additional shifts, with no required on-call, weekends, or major holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required.
• Licenses / Certifications / Registrations: CRNA specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse procedures and tests.
• Participate in clinically instructing nurse anesthesia students.
