Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist across diverse surgical procedures. The division supports more than 50,000 procedures annually and offers opportunities to work in a dynamic academic-community environment at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham.

There are no on-call, weekend, or holiday shift requirements, with options to pick up extra shifts. Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and hold an APN with CRNA specialty in

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Current APN with CRNA Specialty by Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participate in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Perform key responsibilities under the policy and procedures of the Department of Anesthesiology.
