Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests. The division emphasizes autonomy within a collaborative environment with surgeons and physicians.

This role includes no on-call, weekend, or holiday shift requirements and participation in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students. The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and hold Alabama CRNA

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Alabama.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• APN with CRNA specialty certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Participate in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
• Adhere to departmental policies and safety procedures.
