Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a CRNA to join the NGH Anesthesia team. The role supports a broad case mix in an on-site operating suite, employing regional anesthesia, MAC sedation and general anesthesia as needed.

The CRNA will work under an essential anesthesia team, perform pre-operative evaluations, manage patient monitoring, and ensure equipment readiness for safe, effective anesthesia care across procedures.

Qualifications

• Masters in nursing and nurse anesthetist program graduate.
• Valid licensure as a CRNA and RN with required certifications (ACLS, PALS, BCLS).
• CRNAs eligible to apply with appropriate credentials.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-anesthetic evaluations and discusses questions with patients and families.
• Verifies identity and procedure and assesses anesthesia risk per guidelines.
• Ensures anesthesia equipment is ready and stocked with emergency drugs.
• Establishes IV/arterial access and applies appropriate monitors.
• Induces and maintains anesthesia with appropriate agents while monitoring safety.
