Job summary

UNC Health Nash in North Carolina seeks a CRNA for per diem coverage. The CRNA will provide regional anesthesia, MAC sedation and general anesthesia in the OR to deliver analgesia and anesthesia with patient safety as a priority.

You will work with a collaborative anesthesia team across general, orthopedics, plastics, urology and more, following NC Practice Act and AANA guidelines. Onsite coverage with flexible scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• Masters in nursing and Nurse Anesthetist program completed.
• CRNA license or eligibility to practice in NC.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-anesthetic evaluations and administers pre-operative meds as needed.
• Verifies patient identity and procedure and ensures ASA status compliance.
• Ensures anesthesia equipment is ready and stocked with required drugs.
• Establishes IV/arterial lines and monitors per case requirements.
• Induces and maintains various anesthesia modalities with patient safety in mind.
