Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care in North Carolina is seeking a certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join the NGH Anesthesia team. The role involves administering regional, MAC sedation, and general anesthesia in the operating room, with an emphasis on patient safety and high-quality care.

The CRNA will work with a skilled team in a full-time, onsite capacity, supporting a variety of surgical cases and labor and delivery epidurals, under state regulations and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Masters in nursing and certificate graduate of approved Nurse Anesthetist program.
• RN licensure required, ACLS, PALS, and BCLS certifications.
• CRNA certification/recertification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
• Active RN licensure and ongoing credential maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-anesthetic evaluations following established guidelines.
• Verifies patient identity and planned anesthesia/procedure.
• Ensures anesthesia equipment is ready and functional before procedures.
• Establishes IV/arterial access and monitors patient throughout anesthesia care.
• Induces and maintains anesthesia types while monitoring patient safety.
