Job summary

Kaiser Permanente seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join the anesthesia care team in California. The role involves preoperative evaluation, intraoperative anesthesia administration, and postoperative documentation in alignment with KP policies and procedures.

The CRNA will monitor patient status, manage anesthesia-related actions, and collaborate with surgeons and ICU/ PACU teams to ensure safe patient care across perioperative settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Graduate of an accredited school of anesthesia by date of hire.
• Current California RN license.
• CRNA certification in California.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) issued at hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers anesthesia prior to and during procedures as part of the anesthesia care team.
• Monitors patient vital signs and responses during anesthesia; takes remedial action as needed.
• Documents postoperative status and maintains anesthesia records.
• Performs anesthesia-related procedures outside the OR per policy and physician order.
• Collaborates with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and post-anesthesia care unit staff to ensure patient safety.
