Job summary

Memorial Health in Illinois is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to administer and monitor anesthesia and provide perioperative care on-site. The candidate must hold a Master’s degree and an AANA-approved anesthesia program, with active RN and APRN licensure in Illinois, and BLS/ACLS with NRP before orientation.

Job Description Summary:

• Administer & monitor general anesthesia or monitored sedation.
• Proficient in airway management including mechanical ventilation.
• Placement of peripheral intravenous catheters.
• Pre-anesthesia evaluation.
• Post anesthesia care/discharge.
• Evaluate laboratory & diagnostic studies.
• Proficient in pain management.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development principles, from neonate to geriatrics.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, neonate through geriatrics.

Benefits - Memorial HR Job Description: Education:

• Completed AANA approved course in Anesthesia.
• Masters degree required.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in State of Illinois.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist or new graduate who is eligible for certification.
• Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS certification required.
• NRP certification required before completing their orientation period.

Credentialing:

• Maintains current Registered Nursing license and Advanced Practice Nursing license in Illinois (Requires 50 CEUs in 2 years).
• Maintains current CRNA certification. (Requires 40 CEUs in 2 years).
• Completes CRNA competency validation.
• Participates in FPPE/OPPE validation as required.
• Completes all process paperwork for credentialing re-appointment
• Completes annual self-evaluation and submits documentation for annual performance appraisal.

Pay Transparency $90.00 - $140.00 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
