Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License (and DMV compliance).
• Experience in HVAC maintenance within healthcare or similar environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect operating equipment daily and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Maintain equipment rooms, perform repairs, and keep areas clean and organized.
• Maintain pneumatic and electric control instrumentation, calibrate systems for efficiency.
• Inspect cooling towers and ensure water temperature differentials meet standards.
• Test and adjust chemical feed and water treatment for HVAC systems.
• Prep for seasonal shutdowns and startup of chillers and related equipment.
• Investigate HVAC problems and take corrective actions to ensure continuous service.
• Perform repairs on refrigeration equipment and adjust room thermostats for occupant comfort.
• Manage maintenance and repairs of air handling units, medical air/vacuum systems, and exhaust/BSL fans.
• Operate hospital vehicles for off-site tasks and maintain driver's license requirements.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure use of PPE; contribute to a high reliability organization.
