Job summary

The Critical Response Team (CRT) RN at UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital provides comprehensive nursing care across units, coordinating rapid-response and code events with interdisciplinary teams. The role includes ultrasound-guided IV training and serving as a hospital-wide resource for difficult IV access.

Per diem, night shift; requires NC RN licensure, BLS; ACLS preferred with CCRN encouraged within 1 year. Minimum 1 year nursing experience; AJD education requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or in progress.
• One year nursing experience preferred; ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Education: identify learning needs and provide materials relevant to patient population.
• Evaluation of care: participate in care plan revision with interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation: care for complex patients and prioritize tasks.
• Leadership: support unit goals and promote collaboration.
• Patient assessment: synthesize data to guide care and discharge planning.
• Planning: collaborate with patient/family to update the plan of care.
• Research: stay current with journals and discuss applicable ideas.
