Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Critical Power Technician to support service operations and field installations. The role involves start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and on-call duty for after-hours coverage.

The ideal candidate will have generator maintenance experience, familiar with diesel and gas engines, and be willing to travel and help grow technical skills within a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school preferred or AAS in electrical power generation.
• 2+ years of experience with generator maintenance (CAT/Kohler/Cummins).
• Experience with diesel or gaseous engines and switchgear is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of critical power systems installation, start-up and commissioning.
• Perform diagnostic and repair procedures on PLCs, AC/DC, and switch gears.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on generators, engines, and transfer switches.
• Coordinate with installing electrical contractors.
• Oversee correction of issues from commissioning.
• Test and troubleshoot various sized generators.
