Clearance Requirement: Applicants must undergo a government security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center operates at peak efficiency, including planned maintenance, corrective work, and emergency response.
  • Serve as an expert technical resource reporting to a program manager, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for facility operations within a data center and support other operated data centers. Maintain >99.999% uptime for mission-critical equipment.
  • Meet CET1 requirements, utilize safe working practices, read and interpret technical diagrams and documents, and perform troubleshooting and repairs following safety guidelines.
  • Assist higher-level technicians, conduct daily walk-throughs, and document parameters such as power, temperature, humidity, and alarms.
  • Understand site-specific procedures, emergency operations plans, and how to operate, isolate, and troubleshoot critical systems like UPS, generators, HVAC units, fire alarm systems, and BMS/EPMS systems.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations, interpret building codes, and facilitate procurement of materials and parts.
  • Diagnose issues in heating and refrigeration systems using appropriate tools and techniques.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 6+ years of experience with electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of a Journeyman Electrician or HVAC license or equivalent.

Physical and Other Abilities

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds, and work at heights up to 60 feet, including climbing ladders and scaffolds.
  • Must have good vision, color perception, and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to recognize problems and apply general rules to solve specific issues.
