Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise 1-4 technicians in a 24/7 data center, ensuring reliable operation of critical electrical, mechanical, cooling and power systems. You will monitor alarms, execute preventive and corrective maintenance with a CMMS, and follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and LOTO procedures while coordinating with vendors and clients.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, 3+ years in data centers and 5–10+ years in critical environments, with strong leadership and customer

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of data center experience.
• 5–10+ years in critical environment or building engineering.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and infrastructure systems.
• Experience using SOPs / MOPs / EOPs / MMRs and Lockout/Tagout.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate 1–4 technicians during assigned shift.

• Monitor facility alarms and prioritize uptime.
• Use CMMS to track PM, corrective maintenance, work orders, inspections, and labor activities.

• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to complete maintenance and project work safely.
• Serve as a customer-facing point of contact for colocation clients and maintain accurate operational documentation.
• Support equipment switching, root cause investigations, and infrastructure projects.

A leading global data center provider supporting mission-critical customer environments. This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability of critical infrastructure systems in a 24/7/365 data center environment while leading a small shift team of 1-4 technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate 1-4 technicians during an assigned shift, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Support the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, cooling, life safety, and critical power systems.
• Monitor and respond to facility alarms, prioritizing uptime and protection of the critical load.
• Utilize CMMS to track preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, work orders, inspections, and labor activities.
• Execute and follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, MMRs, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to complete maintenance and project work safely.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
