Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our data center operations in Kentucky. You will lead a team of 1–4 technicians, coordinate maintenance, monitor critical infrastructure, and ensure 24/7 uptime in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and life-safety systems, plus strong leadership and customer service skills. Navy Nuclear experience is a plus; Visio and AutoCAD proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center experience.
• 5-10+ years of critical environment or building engineering experience.
• Experience in operations, maintenance and/or building engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and critical infrastructure systems.
• Navy Nuclear experience is preferred.
• Experience using SOPs/MOPs/EOPs/MMRs and LOTO procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate 1–4 technicians during a shift.
• Support operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, cooling, life safety, and critical power systems.
• Monitor alarms and prioritize uptime and protection of critical load.
• Utilize CMMS to track maintenance, work orders, inspections, and labor.
• Follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, MMRs, and Lockout/Tagout processes.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams on maintenance and projects.
• Serve as customer-facing contact for colocation clients and document operations.

A leading global data center provider supporting mission-critical customer environments. This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability of critical infrastructure systems in a 24/7/365 data center environment while leading a small shift team of 1–4 technicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate 1–4 technicians during an assigned shift, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Support the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, cooling, life safety, and critical power systems.
• Monitor and respond to facility alarms, prioritizing uptime and protection of the critical load.
• Utilize CMMS to track preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, work orders, inspections, and labor activities.
• Execute and follow SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, MMRs, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to complete maintenance and project work safely.
• Serve as a customer-facing point of contact for colocation clients and maintain accurate operational documentation.
• Support equipment switching, operational improvements, root cause investigations, and infrastructure projects.
