Job summary

Apple Inc. in Mesa, Arizona, seeks a Critical Facilities Technician to support high-availability data centers with cooling and electrical systems. You will inspect equipment, follow procedures, and collaborate with vendors to meet reliability goals.

The role requires reading drawings, handling equipment up to 75 lbs, and working rotating shift schedules including graveyard, weekends and holidays. You will ensure OSHA compliance and safety standards across facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical, electrical and/or fire life safety systems.
• Ability to read and interpret fire system, electrical system, and mechanical system drawings.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and lift as required, on a continuous basis, with items that can weigh up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours within a Data Center Environment and typically within a heat range of 60F to 110F while following OSHA work rest cycles.
• Ability to climb and use a ladder of various heights.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect and supervise critical equipment and respond to irregular or malfunctioning conditions.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and without disruption to the business.
• Follow established procedures for assigned activities
• Collaborate cross functionally with teams as well as vendors and suppliers to achieve goals.
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations for operations and work safety.
• Use appropriate PPE such as ARC Flash suits and/or coverall in a variety of environments.
