Job summary

A leading technology company in San Jose is seeking a Critical Facilities Engineer to support military service members transitioning to civilian careers. In this role, you will perform site inspections, conduct preventative maintenance, and manage critical infrastructure in Data Centers. The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of UPS systems, HVAC design, and possess strong communication skills. Flexibility for shift work and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Must meet eligibility requirements outlined in DOD Instruction 1322.29.
• Comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure.
• Coursework in HVAC design or heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Perform site inspections and supervise alarms.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on-site infrastructure.
• Respond to on-site incidents as needed.

Skills

Knowledge of critical infrastructure (UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, life safety systems)

Time management

Interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Initiative and teamwork

Education

Technical associates degree or military-technical school

Education level: Working on bachelor's degree
